Detroit — Detroit Public Schools have reached their highest graduation rate since they started collecting the data in 2008 with their new Cohort methodology.

Dropout rates for Black males dropped 10 percent, while the Black female rate dipped six percent.

Below is a chart of the graduation rates per year:

  • June 2007: 58.42 percent
  • June 2008: 58.22 percent
  • June 2009: 59.65 percent
  • June 2010: 62.27 percent
