MADISON — An email exchange released Tuesday by Gov. Scott Walker shows concessions his office is willing to give on some aspects of the proposal, raising hope that a solution to the three week stand-off in Wisconsin may not be far off.

CNN reports:

The e-mails showed ideas and counteroffers made by the Republican governor’s aides and two Democrats as they sought some resolution that would allow Democrats to come back to the state. Under the compromise, state workers would still pay more for health insurance and pension plans, saving the state nearly $330 million in two years.

Mr. Walker has previously said he would not budge on collective bargaining rights, but he has faced increasing pressure as protests in Madison reached as large as 80,000 people.
