New York — Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons wrote yesterday that Bill Cosby snubbed his attempts to apologize for past comments; shoulder bumping Simmons and telling him to “Get the f*** out my face,” at the Jackie Robinson Annual Awards Dinner in New York.

“I wanted to find him to apologize, to tell him I was sorry about my statements and to tell him that I loved him,” Simmons explained. “Suddenly, I turned and he was behind the curtain and I said, ‘I love you,’ and he responded on some real hip-hop, ‘Get the f*** out my face!’ ”

The event honored Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Two years ago, Simmons wrote a letter to Cosby criticizing him for his negative views towards Hip-Hop.
