DEKALB COUNTY, Ga — The Dekalb District Attorney’s office is reviewing Bishop Johnathan Alvarado over recent allegations of his sexual misconduct towards children.

The Grio reports:

According to the county’s Online Judicial System, it’s a “crimes against children review,” with Bishop Alvarado listed as “defendant.”

“I was contacted by the D.A.’s office on Monday,” said Shaun King, who used to be one of the church’s pastors.

King heard from the D.A.’s office after he began blogging and tweeting warnings to church members and others about the allegations against Bishop Alvarado.

The District Attorney’s office announced that the review is not a “formal investigation,” and Bishop Alvarado has yet to be charged with any crimes.
