SAVANNAH, Georgia — Spike Lee spoke to college students at the historically black Savannah State University, telling them to fight ignorance with education.
Using anecdotes from his own experiences, the bespectacled Lee told the hundreds gathered in Tiger Arena what he believes is the key to a positive, happy life.
“Some way, some how you’ve got to figure out what you want to do and make that happen,” he said. “If you don’t, you’ll be unhappy in many, many ways.”
Spike Lee, an alumni of Atlanta HBCU More House College, said he relished the opportunity to speak at Savannah State University.
