Dr. Bernard Harris is the first African-American to travel to outer space. This week he will be honored with the FBI’s Director’s Community Leadership Award for his continuing philanthropic efforts.

Dr. Harris started the Harris Foundation to provide education and crime-prevention programs for students in Houston.
