NEW YORK-Krystal Callender, a 13-year-old girl was arrested and charged with a hate crime for ripping of the religious scarf and calling her a “terrorist,” and given no bail by a judge. Previously her companion, Osman Daramy a 12-year-old boy with a Muslim mother was also charged and held with out bail for the same alleged attack. The New York Daily News reports:
“Based on [Callender's] history, I do believe she is capable of committing another crime,” said Judge Helene Sacco.
Callender has a pending case for allegedly robbing and assaulting a pizza delivery man.
