gbabgo pat robertsonIVORY COAST – Laurent Gbabgo, the now captured former leader of the Ivory Coast is getting a good deal of support from the Christian Right, including Pat Robertson and Glenn Beck.

The New York Times reports:

Mr. Robertson, who ran for president as a Republican in 1988 and founded the Christian Broadcasting Network, has been more enthusiastic in his support of Mr. Gbagbo. He has also been more overtly interested in Mr. Gbagbo’s status as the Christian candidate.

In January, Mr. Robertson said on his television network that Mr. Gbagbo is “a Christian, he’s a nice person, and he’s run a fairly clean operation in the Ivory Coast.”
