Yellow Cabs Lined up on streetNEW YORK — A couple of friends proved how far money can take you, after they paid a New York city Yellow cab driver $5,000 to drive them to Los Angeles, California.

John Belitsky, 31, an investment banker paid the fare to celebrate his friend Dan Wuebben’s 32nd birthday.

The group left Saturday and arrived to Los Angeles Thursday.

“Dan was staying at my place after we celebrated his birthday,” Belitsky said. “It seemed like everybody was away. And I said, ‘Let’s do something great and fun and serious and magical and bigger than us.’ “

Considering how nearly impossible it is for a black person to catch a cab to Brooklyn, New York, this is pretty outrageous!
