Tennessee — Since Obama’s presidency, many have said we live in a post-racial society. This story will remind you we don’t.

A teacher at a local high school in Springfield, Tennessee found her mailbox spray painted “KKK.”

Gerlonda Hardin moved into the mostly white neighborhood a year ago and never experienced any type of racism. This was her first experience and one she hopes doesn’t repeat itself.

“There are still some cruel people, cruel things in the world. Living in the 21st century, it’s funny that things like that still float around,” said Hardin.
