For some reason I can’t see the name of comment-posters and I wish I did so I could quote directly. Anyhow,

…basically exemplifies the adverse effect that government regulation will have upon MJ. Consider the quality and additives in the government’s brand of MJ as well.

All that money you need is right here. its green just like money so what does that mean???? lol it means its a Good ass investment. people will be more relaxed, more jobs will become available, and the crime rate will decrease! i mean make it so that you have to at least be 18 to get it like cigarettes but other then that, make it legal. there’s too many good points to this than the bad. we just have to control when we decide to do it!. plus im a faithful stoner so yea! my Grades for nursing school are A’s n B’s and i smoke all the time!

Hemp is a better choice for paper than trees, and a diesel fuel can be made from the seed. There are a lot of lobbyists in Washington working hard to maintain status quos and keep marijuana illegal. Of course the article is right. Maintaining those status quos is part of the reason America is in the shape it’s in.

It’s not gonna happen… as long as the tobacco companies keep paying off the gov’t to keep weed illegal, weed will stay illegal. Think about it… if everyone is buying your legal product, although the better product is illegal, you would definately want to keep the better product illegal in order to stay on top.

The day they legalize weed will be the day they legalize & authorize a few other things that will be a real buzz kill!

For the record, 38 billion dollars in illegal activity is a drop in the bucket… Comparable to the hundreds of billions made with good old tobacco & alcohol. If we think we having to hear about drama in Mexico now, just wait when The U.S. cuts into their profits!
To legalize the sale in purchase would not automatically lift the undesirable usage, in other words, if you go to work high, or you pop positive in “random” piss test, you WILL be out of a job! Government and private companies will undoubtedly have the choice to accept the practice or not; Wen you get pulled over for a possible DUI, you will see a new device that can read THC, leaving a many recreational marijuana users in legal limbo! I personally cannot see a thousand plus signature petition sitting on a Governors desk to pass laws to allow them to smoke MJ just as casually as Tobacco.

Now let me ask the tree smokers out there… How many of you re willing to pay up to 10 times as much for legal weed than what you are paying now from Pookie and Tyrone? Think about that.

True desperate times do indeed call for desperate measures. Though I doubt that the legalization of marajuana will ever happen it needs to be and be taxed. even though the american public would frown upon this if it put money back into the american citzens pockets then who would frown upon it. the traffic of all illegal drugs that thrive in this country today will never be stopped unless you were to kill it at its root and even at that you are talking about a process that is like trying to stop the earth from its normal rotation, its just not going to happen. same thing goes for marajuana it will never be stopped.

Let’s assume it was legal and can be taxed. How are you gonna tax the mofos growing it in their bedrooms and back yards? Better yet, are they gonna get credit and a tax break calling themselves farmers? I don’t see legalizing it as part of the solution at all. Too many other variable associated with it.

I have been saying for years if they legalized weed and banned alcohol that this country would be totally different. Weed is not going anywhere. All us pot heads will always be here legal or not just like drinkers are going to be here like it or not. Does this mean legalize all drugs? I don’t think it should come to that cocaine, meth and herione has caused alot of damage to our society as a whole. But you dont hear about people smoking a blunt and killing folks cause they high. Drunk drivers kill people everyday. The truth is, and I am white, but white folks that run this country enjoy that control. The very ones locking us up is also allowing this shit into our country. More money in drugs than any other product on this earth except food maybe. It is really time our generation of people overcome the ways and beliefs of the ones before us after all look where it got them…. no where !
