WASHINGTON, D.C —  A man in a wheelchair was slammed to the ground by two Metro Transit Police Officers late last week. The incident was caught on tape by a bystander who uploaded the video to the Internet.

“Get on the ground!” one of the officers yells as the officers lift him from the wheelchair and slam him face first to the ground.

The Metro Transit Police claim the man suddenly stood, then fell.

UPDATE: The wheelchair-bound man has been identified as a newspaper vendor named Dwight Harris. He is now seeking legal counsel.
