An article on The Root today lists the top 25 interviews with Black guests on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

The obvious number one is the show’s first interview with a sitting President and First Lady. Just hours after releasing his original birth certificate, and not long before he would announce the death of Osama Bin Laden, President Obama came on the show as Oprah’s guest.

Number two on the list, but certainly no less monumental, Nelson Mandela appeared on the Oprah stage, and had all 300 of the show’s staffers leaving their offices to shake his hand.
