Cat, what. are. you. talking. about.

Let’s not get into the particulars of how to display patriotism. It’s semantics, and it’s counterintuitive. Does a U.S. Senator, a person who serves the citizens by being in office, have to prove he is MORE American than the next man? Why does he? What does a flag pin signify that years of service do not? I have no clue what you’re talking about.

There are some good points here. This was exactly the kind of article I was looking to read before the debate. I think the last point about McCain’s correlation with Liddy is the strongest.

However, I must completely disagree with you on one major point: Obama should NOT defends Ayers. Are you kidding me? Ayers has NEVER offered one word of apology for the acts he committed. Instead, he told the New York Times in 2001, and I quote this: “I don’t regret setting bombs; I feel we didn’t do enough.”

And, as long as we are on the subject, here are a few other problems I would like counterattacked: Why does Obama refuse to wear an American flag pin? Why does he refuses to put his hand over his heart and sing the American national anthem? Why is it okay for him to say “In this place we call America” instead of “In my country.”
