NEW YORK — A Brooklyn teen has been arrested for last week’s deadly shooting on the Brighton Beach Boardwalk, according to officials.

Iloune Driver, 19, has been charged with second-degree murder and assault with intent to cause serious physical injury. The shooting took place last Thursday killing Tysha Jones, 16, and wounding five others. The cross-fire ensued is believed to be gang related, as two “thugs” opened fire on the boardwalk. However, police said they do not know if Driver is a member of a gang.

Jones and a patron at the Tatiana restaurant, who were hit by a stray bullet, were innocent bystanders. Jones was declared dead at Coney Island Hospital.

According to police, Driver has an extensive arrest record dating back to 2008. He was arrested nine times, including once for robbery and gun possession. He also has a sealed case dating back to 2010.
