A bipartisan group of ten US lawmakers have filed suit against President Obama over his decision to attack Libya without congressional consent.

The congressmen allege Obama violated the constitution.

According to Vietnam-era war law, when the country is engaged in military participation for more than 60 days, it must be authorized by Congress.

Dem. Congressman Dennis Kucinich challenged the policy “that any president can take the US to war unilaterally.”

“We have asked the courts to move to protect the American people from the results of these illegal policies,” said Kucinich.
