Five years ago, school custodian and track coach Tyrone Curry cashed in on 3.4 million-dollars after winning  the Washington State Lottery.

Rather than hitting the road and splurging on his winnings, Curry spent money on the track team, and continued his work at Evergreen High School. He also generously offered to pay for a honor student’s college tuition after the untimely death of their mother.

His track team captain, DeVante Botello, is having a tough time. The 18-year-old’s mother died of a heart attack just before his graduation.

The boy’s father was never around and Tyrone offered to pay for his college education.
