A Texas teen claims he shot and killed a mythical creature called the Chupacabra.

In South-American folklore, the chupacabra is believed to prey on livestock by sucking the blood out of animals. Scientists suspect that the hairless creatures are actually sick coyotes or other wild animals.

Carter Pope, 13, spotted the animal walking across a field and ran to get his dad who was also amazed by the creature. Carter then grabbed his gun and fired three shots, killing the animal, according to

“It just walked across and started shaking, slowly moving across. No hair on it at all, the back legs were shriveled up, and I honestly think it was a chupacabra,” Pope told KSDK.
