Chicago To Study Economic Disparities In Black Communities

    GhettoBallIllinois Governor Pat Quinn has approved a bill creating a commission aimed at researching disparities in the African-American community.

    The commission will study social and economic issues including health services, employment and education.

    “We know that disparities exist within the African-American community, preventing some from achieving their full potential,” Quinn said in a statement. “In Illinois, we want everybody in, and nobody left out. We won’t shy away from examining the root causes of inequality, and working to correct them.”
