NEW YORK — A 36-year-old woman from the Bronx was charged with improper disposal of a body after her 76-year-old boyfriend was found in a suitcase.

Monique Exum allegedly murdered her boyfriend John Davis. Exum is also being investigated for cashing and spending Davis’ social security checks.

The New York Daily News reports:

Police believe Monique Exum, 36, repeatedly committed fraud before and after ditching John Davis, 73, outside an abandoned Williamsbridge home. His body was found Sunday – three months after his death.

“How could she be so cold-hearted as to just throw someone away like garbage?” Davis’ daughter, Laura, 50, told the Daily News. “He was a good man who had a family and worked hard. He didn’t deserve that.”
