THIS IS NOT ONLY CRAZY BUT VERY SAD! THE MOVIE WAS MEANT TO EXPOSE HOW THOSE KIDS ARE BEING TREATED OVER THERE & UNFORTUNATELY IT TURNED INTO THIS. I WISH WE COULD NOT ONLY EXPOSE WHATS GOING ON OVER THERE WITH THESE INNOCENT KIDS…BUT ALSO STOP IT FROM HAPPENING.

he probably did want to sell her..i say sell her…she’ll probably be better off..with some people who will want her..or may even use her..but at least it wont be her family using her..and abusing her! i say all the time..some times blood aint no thicker than water…family can do you worst than a stranger…sad to say..and no females are not valued anywhere…in other countries they traffic women like they do drugs…over here..they just use us! call us jump offs..wh@#$% sl!@#$ etc. etc. just like the dude who had a “baby” why would any man want to have a baby..when they dont take care of the ones they help make…???? what are you trying to extinct women??? but eh i say whatever! im not losing any sleep over no nicca…or anyone for all that matters! and you shouldnt either!!! is how i feel about it!

A lot of countries rather have boys because of the fact that females can not pass on their family name in so their legacy dies as well as in some countries women aren’t allowed to earn income so in which family needs a son to take care of the family…

But supposedly he was trying to sell her to get his entire family out of the slums..but who knows.. it’s sad either way that such success for some of these children in some sense is more of a burden than anything

JJ, I think you are wrong. Females are highly sought after in places like this. Places where women are disrespected and treated like objects. You know the role, cook, clean, have babies, etc. He probably tried to sell her to another man so he could move out of the slums. It’s not uncommon for men to sell their daughters. I’ve seen a few cases of this very thing, sometimes known as arranged marriages.

Remember, Shaq went thru this similar type thing [with his abandoning daddy] once he got to become an NBA star. So did Chili from TLC. It’s just usually the daddy’s who walk out of their children’s lives with as much as a glance back–then all of a sudden want to become that parent again in their [adult] lives. Rubina’s mother is no different. She spied opportunity and is trying to pounce. Typical.

This is not the first case in India, this happens every single day but never had it come to our notice bcoz those children’s lives are not as popular as Rubina is. If its not this way they go the other way , they are so helpless that they r ready to put them up for prostitution, this is how it goes down in India for the most unfortunate. So we got to be pleased with what each one has or gets & thank god for all that he has given us…

Such a beautiful little girl. It’s sad to look at her sweet little face and know that she’s caught in the middle of such foolishness. And some of the other kids are having issues like that too. Its good that the movie featured real poor people in India, but look what the money is doing to them.
