President Barack Obama warned New Jersey governor and potential GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie about recent criticisms the governor made about him.

Chris Christie is expected to make a decision on whether to run for President this Wednesday.

The New York Daily News reports:

“The guy’s thinking about running for President. He’s going to say a lot of stuff, and I think in Republican primaries, saying nasty stuff about me is probably – polls pretty well,” Obama told ABC News.

But the barbs won’t play nearly as well with “the folks in New Jersey,” the President added.
