President Obama is entering the month of October with his lowest approval ratings since entering office.
In a Quinnipiac poll released yesterday, 55 percent of American disapprove of the president’s job performance. Only 41 percent approve.
That’s worse than the previous low recorded on Sept. 1 – 52 percent disapproval to 42 percent approval.
By a 77-20 percent spread, voters say the economy is in a recession and by a 44-11 percent spread they say the economic is getting worse, not better. Just 29 percent say the economy will improve if Obama is re-elected.
“The president is stuck at a politically unhealthy level for someone who wants to be re-elected,” Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, said in a press release.
