Two Albany lawmakers have been evicted from their cheap by New York City standard apartments for not paying rent.

The apartments, which cost Deputy Speaker Earlene Hooper of Nassau County, and Banking Committee Chairwoman Annette Robinson of Brooklyn below $700 monthly, have shocked many considering they make nearly $80,000 a year.

“I think it’s gross mismanagement and neglect on their part,” said David Green, a lawyer for RSA Properties, owner of the State St. building.

“There’s no way, with the money they are making, that they can’t pay their rent on time. It’s completely embarrassing for them.”
