Sergeant Steve Carbajal said that police responded to shots fired at Clubhouse Music Venue at 11:30 p.m. Friday night.

Two of the victims remain in serious condition at a local hospital. Carbajal says that the number of victims may not be complete because several people reportedly drove themselves to various hospitals.

“Witnesses have reported that after the shooting, two black males wearing dark colored clothing fled the scene on foot,” Carbajal said. “Those individuals have not been located at this time.”

Witness Paul Butler was waiting in the throng when he tells KTVK-TV that the gunfire exploded.

“And you see everybody running, couple more shots, everybody running,” Butler told the station. “It was pure chaos.”

Hussle, famous in his native Los Angeles, canceled the show, instead taking to Twitter in disappointment: “Az….y’all gotta be cool man. This … ain’t rite.”
