According to the New York Daily News, Shepherd has been accused of secretly practicing with series regular and dance pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy since December which is forbidden as per the show’s guidelines.  On Thursday, Shepherd kicked off her show by denying all of the cheating allegations.

The 44-year-old is set to begin rehearsing next week.  RadarOnline leaked the story that Shepherd had actually begun dancing months earlier.  They had her partnered with Chmerkovskiy when actually she will be paired with his brother Val (pictured) on the reality dance competition.  Shepherd slammed the rumors on her show by stating, “We have never, I say never, we’ve never danced together,” Shepherd said as she admitted that she was nervous.  ““I’ve never danced with Maks,  I’ve never danced with Val.”

The actress and comedienne did admit to being obsessed with dance and divulged that she had taken some classes at Maksim’s studio which she claims was done even before DWTS negotiations for her participation on the show had begun.

RadarOnline claims that an unnamed source had actually witnessed Shepherd in workout gear and dance shoes at the SoHo Studio and that Maksim was indeed present at the time.

The DWTS rules state, that dance training actually begins after the show makes all of the announcements as to the participants for the season, along with whom their coaches will be.

In the meantime, Shepherd just wants to lay the rumors to rest and move on with the task at hand and that is trying to beat her competitors.  “I’m just looking to have a good time,” she said on ‘The View.’  “I’m praying my wig doesn’t fall off.”
