Chicago is the murder capital of america and they wanted to have the olympics there.the police are of no use in chicago,they are getting high,making deals with drug dealers,trying to embarass black men to shame them in front of their women,beating and torturing innocent blacks,keeping crime confined to black neighborhoods,which makes honest people blacks live under seige.police in chicago, no one trust them, because they are crooked and prone to criminal behavior.

I LIVE IN CHICAGO AND EVERY SHOOTING OR INCIDENT THAT HAPPENS IS BETWEEN 5 TO 15 MINUTES FROM MY HOME. IM 22 WITH A 3 YEAR OLD AND I DONT WANT TO RAISE HIM IN THIS CITY. THIS SUMMER, THE VIOLENCE WILL GET EVEN MORE INTENSE AND THIS MAKES CITIZENS EVEN AFRAID TO SIT ON THEIR PORCH BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE GETTIN KILLED ON THEIR PROPERTY NOW. IT’S SO SAD AND IT’S SUCH A SHAME BECAUSE A MAJORITY OF THE DEATHS ARE THAT OF CHICAOG PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS. WE ALL NEED TO CHANGE AND STEP UP AND STOP KILLING THE YOUTH. I got a friend who I visit on the south side 87th st stoney island. Most violence is being involved in the wrong thing. Some good advice is avoid eye contact and mind your own business and be aware of your surroundings, this will decrease your chances of being a victim by a lot. Detroit is so bad they got robot cops.

yeah chicago is crazy i live in humbolt park,,n this young girl was picking up her brother n got shot in the head,,n this ypung girl 8 years old was playing in the park which she also got shot i the head , these gangbangers r too close too each other like a block away,,n these girls where right in the middle of there teritories,,is getting crazy ,,i dont even go out only if i have too… dam scared,,especially that summer is coming..god bless yall,,n me

i live pretty close to the west side of chicago (in a suburb supposedly), and a lot of stuff that is said on the comments for this articcle i feel is very ignorant..the whole whites stay in the burbs blacks in the city, not like that truley, its killings in the burbs 2 the media just doesnt focus on it as much as they should my oldest sister was shot in killed in the burbs and it wasnt much media surrounding it, they didnt prosecute the person that killed her till 3 yrs past her death, Chicago is selective 2 what they put out, but truth be told death definetly is not new 2 the streets of chicago..im not surprised they dont have anyone in custody either, its somethin really wrong with the generation that is comng up these days..sucks much, the world needs prayer..

It’s a collective problem that will only be solved when people in the communities work together with the police and their children.

You know it’s sad. I can’t go anywhere without my mom being on my back about where it is I’m going just because all of this that’s going on here in Chicago. It’s so DAMN FRUSTRATING!!!! It’s summer time, everybodies out and about, you have all these festivals and concerts going on, but you can’t even enjoy it due to the fact you have to watch your back so you won’t get shot. I know that you all remember the words to this song, “Wake up everybody, no more sleepin’ in bed. No more backwards thinkin’, time for thinkin’ ahead. The world has changed so very much, from what it used to be, there’s so much hatred, war and poverty. The world won’t get no better, if we just let it be.” That brother was telling you all some prophesy there.
Black brothers, stop leaving these young girls to raise these babies by themselves. Allow these women to become your queens and you be their kings. Take care of your princes and princesses. These young babies are coming up without a strong male black role model in their homes. The mothers can teach the boys how to be loved, but they can’t teach them how to be men. Only a man can teach his son how to be a man. If you are lacking the skills of how to be a man, then read your bible. The bible teaches integrity, respect, and doing good to and for others. All of this hatred of ones fellow man is coming from within. Don’t blame anyone else for the downfall of the black man. You can’t blame the “whiteman” for you not educating your children. You can’t blame the “whiteman” for not giving you a job. You can’t blame the “whiteman” for not helping you open up a successful business. Look within yourselves black men. Come together collectively and stop killing one another. Take the knowledge that you have as a gifted creation of God, and work on the homefront first. Then venture out into your community and help put an end to the black self hatred. Open your own businesses and employ your own people.
