Followers of Gwyneth Paltrow slammed the actress in the Twittersphere this weekend after she was busted tweeting the N-word while cheering on her friends Jay-Z and Kanye West during their concert in Paris on Friday night, reports the Los Angeles Times.
After she was invited to shake what her momma gave her onstage (pictured below right) with the rap giants on their Watch the Throne tour, Paltrow retweeted a photo of herself with the caption:
Gwyneth Paltrow @GwynethPaltrow
Ni**as in paris for real @mrteriusnash (the dream) tyty, beehigh http://say.ly/ySc3rTP
Followers of “The Avengers” actress immediately took to Twitter to let ‘er rip, letting the actress know how shocked they were at her choice of words.
Two days after the Twitter major faux pas, Paltrow, who claims that she is very good friends with Beyonce, Jay-Z and West alerted fans to the fact that her use of the N-word was all just a misunderstanding and not meant to be derogatory at all:
Gwyneth Paltrow @GwynethPaltrow
Hold up. It’s the title of the song! RT@lovebscott Okay or Not? @GwynethPaltrow Tweets The N-Word: http://www.buzzlov3.com/okay-or-not-gwyneth-paltrow-tweets-the-n-word/ http://say.ly/IIs3rY4
Apparently the words that Paltrow used was just a song title that Jay-Z and West sing during their concert tour.
But…
The use of the N-word by Paltrow doesn’t make it right. Perhaps Ms. Thing got all caught up and was just feeling too relaxed around her black friends. She thought it was OK to use the word freely because there wouldn’t be any repercussions? WRONG! Word to the wise Ms. Paltrow, take that word out of your vocabulary because it is NEVER OK to use it!
