The 40-year-old performer, who has been vocal and then some about his reefer madness, arrived at Kjevic Airport in Kristiansand with the contraband, and a sniffer dog detected the drug.  The performer was also over the limit, carrying more cash, $37,352, than the country allows its visitors, $33,236.

Snoop was fined 52,000 kroners or $8,600 for the violations that he incurred.

The artist is scheduled to perform at the popular Hove Music Festival also in Kristiansand,

Snoop’s most-recent drug bust is his second this year.  Back in January, Snoop, who has a “medical prescription” for cannabis in California, was not able to tote his “medication” in the good ole boy state of Texas.  Police arrested him after a drug-sniffing canine discovered less than half an ounce of marijuana in a waste basket on his tour bus.  The bus was stopped at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca.

The artist, songwriter, and producer was cited on a misdemeanor drug possession charge then set free.

In 2001, Snoop was again hit with a marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession charges in Cleveland, Ohio, when his tour bus was pulled over for speeding.
