Pop singer Kelis has been hit with a tax lien of $330,426.71 for the years 2004 and 2010, according to the Daily Mail.

In February of 2011, Kelis’ ex-hubby Nas, also found himself in a heap of financial trouble. Reportedly, he also failed to pay $339,005.49 to Uncle Sam for tax year 2010 and the government placed a lien on his property. He also owed a staggering $6 million on top of his recent debt in back taxes.

Nas and his former ‘Milkshake’ wife duked it out in court big time when they decided to divorce in April 2009. She rolled up her sleeves and battled him to no end over spousal and child support. The pair’s nasty parting-of-the-ways became fodder for the press. Kelis was looking to secure $45,000 a month for herself and Nas’ son but instead was awarded a paltry $25,000.

Sources say that Kelis made a rather nice nest egg for herself when she hit the road with Britney Spears on her Onyx Hotel Tour in 2004. Two years ago, the fashionista headlined her own concert dates as she toured with Swedish singer, Robyn. Recently, Kelis performed at a few popular festivals. Now she is trying to make a musical splash with her latest single ‘Distance.’
