David L. Scott (pictured) has been charged with second-degree murder for allegedly killing 42-year-old Roger Wilkes over a bag of Cheetos during an argument in downtown St. Louis, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Authorities say that Scott and Wilkes got into an argument over the Cheetos and, at some point, Scott stabbed the victim in the chest with a knife around 8:50 p.m. on Tuesday night. Wilkes died from his injures at a local hospital.

It is believed that both men were homeless. Police on bike patrol caught Scott just a few blocks from where the crime took place. They say the knife used in the crime was also recovered.

Scott reportedly has a list of prior convictions, including robbing a post office as well as counts of burglary and assault.
