Former NFL player Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson (pictured), whose life as of late has been front page fodder due to career, marital, legal and financial woes, is now being touted as a poster child for deadbeat Dads, reports TMZ.

Johnson is being accused by the baby momma of one of his five children, Andrea Pearson, of being derelict with his child support payments for their 2-year-old son.
The miffed Mom claims that Johnson neglected to make his child support payment of $5,250 on October 15th of this year and has been late with all of the previous ones as well. Pearson has filed her complaint with a Miami family court and wants a judge to force her ex to make his delinquent child support payments to her as soon as possible.
Pearson is also requesting that if Johnson fails to meet his obligation, he be thrown in jail.
Sources close to the 34-year-old former “Dancing With the Stars” fave contestant state that Johnson has not only always provided for his son, but even went as far as buying the Mother of his child a home.
The case is still pending a decision from a judge.
Meanwhile the turbulent waters between Johnson and reality TV diva Evelyn Lozada have finally calmed. After just one month of wedded bliss, Lozada got head butted by her hubby following a heated argument over a box of condoms.
The result was a dramatic fall from grace for the gridiron great: Lozada filed for divorce, the couple’s scheduled VH-1 reality show “Ev & Ocho” got sacked, Johnson was jailed for assault, and then he then got canned by his Miami Dolphins NFL team in addition to lost lucrative endorsement deals.
Afterward, Johnson made several attempts at getting his bride back and even got a tattoo of his estranged wife’s face on his leg.
Eventually, Johnson let the marriage go, and the divorce was finalized in September.
