Nigerians esepcially, from what I know, in many of their tribal views, looked upon women as property or as objects that can be owned. I’m sure many South Africna tribes were not much different. Don’t quote me but it’s very possible that they were. Whenever you have this view, it causes men to look upon women in “less than human” ways. Whites did the same when they owned Blacks during slavery because they saw us as less than human or even less than animals. I pray for the men and women over there. I’m sure this isn’t a new thing. People are just reporting it more.
