Some people are still determined to take hard fought rights away. The presidency have been held by only white males,one black president do not balance things out race relations have a ways to go,until we have elected another Black man,Asian,Latin,Hispanic and every other race and woman of each race that makes up America,Then there may be a reason for the argument to do away with the voting rights act.

It appears as if those voting to strike this law down are trying to do that. Either that, or they just want to live in pre-civil rights America, which with some Republicans (far-reaching conservatives) I wouldn’t doubt.
