Terry Lyons was charged with attempted murder and home evasion, among other charges. Around 5 p.m. Friday, Police say Lyons broke into the elderly woman’s home and shot her nine times. (Fox 2 News previously reported that the woman was shot three times)

The woman survived the shooting and is now recovering from her injuries.

As NewsOne previously reported, local police were able to track down the suspect by following his footprints to an abandoned home several blocks away. Cops found him hiding inside of an old furnace box and arrested him.

A judge ordered him held on $500,000 bond. He due in court on Feb. 19 for a preliminary hearing.
