This is a crazy idea to honor M.J.Yes he was a great performer but for congress to have to waste time on something that will not better BLACK PEOPLES LIVES is rediculous, and for Congressman Sheila Jackson to bring that up proves that some of the Black so call leaders are not thinking straight.We have so many thing that need to be talked about,like the VOTINGS RIGHT ACT for Black people being reversed and taken away,Still very real RACISM just because your skin is not white,Changes in our foods and medicine to where there is no nutritional value to them.
THERE ARE MANY OTHER THING CONCERNING BLACK PEOPLE AND AMERICA AS A WHOLE THAT ARE OF MORE IMPORTANCE THAN BRINGING UP SOME RESOLUTION TO HONOR M.J.

THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME IS FOR THINGS LIKE THAT.

It has only been roughly 40 years since the CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT of the 60′s we’ve come a long way but not nearly as far as can be concerning equal right for Black people and all people:mainly people that don’t have white skin.

THAT’S WHAT SHEILA JACKSON SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT.

Hell this comes as no surprise…anything having to do with a black person is opposed by the G.O.P.,unless it’s to cut a benefit(s)or has to do with incarceration!Year’s ago Arizona,public official…John(13 houses)McCain,opposed a holiday honoring the Rev.Dr.Martin Luther King Jr’s,birthday!Then during the presidential election between him and now president Obama.He went to Arizona,to insult the intelligence of black,African American’s,by telling them he’s sorry for originally opposing the holiday!Just to garner votes.Come on now do ya’ think a Republican would actually visit a all black neighborhood,if it didn’t have a benefit in it for them!!!
