Thank you for being the voice for those children, Mr. Perry. We need more people on in this country like you. In regards to Michael Jackson, you hit the nail on the head. The media has greatly disrespected him and his entire family. They are out here digging up information that is irrelevant to his passing, and a total violation of his privacy, and his familys’ privacy. I find it difficult to watch any “new” dirt that they’ve dug up on him. I started to become angry a few weeks ago, and like you, I could no longer watch. If I see something on about him, I flip the channel. The only media that has shown Michael Jackson respect is BET. Instead of them bashing his drug use and whatever other problems he had, they respected him by reminding fans of what was really important, and that’s to remember him for all that great music he worked his ass off to put out for us. I hope you are blessed for life for taking a stand for those children. How heartbreaking!

I cant tell you guys how much I often forget that racism still exist..I surround myself with all kinds of people but don’t encounter it everyday ..and then I hear a story like this…..Makes me remember the 1st time a white man called me a nigga…..I was crossing on Clark & Dearborn in Chicago and apparently in his way as he drove by….it hurt so much I cried and called my parents to tell them what happened..I was 16 years old. Talk to your kids and let them know how special they are,How important their race is, and what they mean to you and your family…. it wont change things..but it will help them hold their heads high when a silly white man/women (racist) tries to bring them down. I was one of the ones agreeing with Spike Lee. I still don’t find Tyler Perry’s shows or movies to be humorous or entertaining, but I give a lot of props to him for this. This was a great gesture.
