According to police, 2 Chainz was on the city’s famed Mission Street, when he was approached by two suspects at about 4:35 p.m. The men reportedly took 2 Chainz’s wallet, which contained his credit cards, cash, and cellphone.
One of the men reportedly fired a handgun but no one was struck by a bullet. The shooter was described as being a Hispanic male in his 20’s with short hair, about 5’6,” and sporting a black sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The three men reportedly sped away in a gray sedan.
As news of the robbery broke, though, 2 Chainz denied that it ever took place. The Atlanta-based three-time Grammy-nominated performer stated on his Twitter page that if he had been robbed, his stolen items would have been posted on the Internet:

According to Hollywood Life, though, a San Francisco police spokesperson did in fact confirm that the hip-hop star was indeed robbed and gunshots were in fact fired. When police arrived at the scene, however, they found 2 Chainz completely alone, because 14 of his entourage members reportedly ran away from the scene when the incident occurred.
