teapartykkk

Today on “NewsOne Now,” Roland Martin talked with callers about Rep. Alan Grayson comparing the Tea Party to the KKK in a campaign email. Some of the debates turned heated, with Martin maintaining that despite all of the things the Tea Party has done that are worthy of criticism, hysterical comparisons serve no one. He said it’s no better than when media outlets used the extreme things that the New Black Panther Party said when Trayvon Martin was killed to paint all of the protesters who supported Martin’s family as extremists.

“You call folks out for who they are. You call them out for what they do. But if we walk down this path… it gets you nothing, folks,” he said.

He had plenty else to say about it. Listen to the clip below, and tune in to “NewsOne Now” with Roland Martin weekdays at 10am EST.
