“Culture Queen” Jessica Smith joined Roland Martin and the “NewsOne Now” panel to discuss Black History Month and shared how parents can teach their children about their history through easy activities. Smith said one easy way a family can start is to create a family tree.

“When you celebrate Black History Year, you start it at home. You’re not going to wait until the children get to school. Here’s a fun activity that you can do with your kids right at home with some construction paper, some glue…Start by celebrating your family tree,” Smith said.
