Dr. Benjamin is continuing her mission of promoting health through prevention as the current chair of the new Public Health Sciences department at her alma mater, Xavier University in Louisiana, where she’s excited about developing the future health careers of young professionals. . “I wanted to come to a small liberal arts college to be able to have that hands-on, direct impact early on in their careers even before they go to graduate school,” she says in the same interview.
