Congressman John Lewis has been silent for months on the topic of the President’s controversial judicial nominees in Georgia. But after first making an earlier statement criticizing Obama’s choice of Michael Boggs, the civil rights icon ceased to address the topic. Lewis spoke out Monday, however, in a fiery statement to reaffirm his opposition to Boggs.

The “NewsOne Now” panel discussed what could have prompted Lewis’ silence and what his most recent statement means for Bogg’s confirmation. Listen below.

Be sure to listen to “NewsOne Now” with Roland Martin, weekdays at 7 a.m. EST and watch at 9 a.m. EST on TV One.
