African Americans spend $1.1 trillion dollars per year, advertisers are spending $75 billion per year and black media companies are getting less than 3% of those advertising dollars. Why are we spending more and getting less? Ron Busby from the U.S. Black Chamber, Inc., Christal Watson, President of Kansas Black Chamber of Commerce, and Charles O’Neal, Principal of Strategique as well as a member of USBC Board joined Roland Martin Tuesday on “NewsOne Now” to discuss the disparities in ad spending.

And the School of Chamber and Business Management conference starts today in Washington D.C., featuring Sheila Johnson. This years conference focuses on growing African American owned businesses.

Be sure to listen to “NewsOne Now” with Roland Martin, weekdays at 7 a.m. EST and watch at 9 a.m. EST on TV One.
