I totally agree… I appreciate the manner in which Barack Obama presented himself throughout the entire campaign. I do not think that we as African Americans should look to Barak Obama as our savior. He has merely helped open the door to allow Black Americans to make the changes that we so desperately want. I do not look to Barak Obama to solve every problem that African Americans face, but hopefully he will provide US with the resources that we need so that we as African Americans can solve OUR OWN problems. If anything Barak Obama being the first African American president of the United States of American should encourage all of us rise up and make a conscious effort to solve our own problems instead of waiting for him to do it for us. WE have opened the door for ourselves by refusing to ride in the back of the bus, refusing to receive education in segregated schools, refusing to eat in BLACK ONLY restaurants, refusing to be beaten, lynched, and castrated, refusing to not be able to vote, by registering to vote, and by standing in line for hours to cast our ballots. Now we must ask ourselves will walk through the door or will we timidly stand outside and complain as others so desperately fight for the CHANGE we need??? Barak Obama 44th President of the United Stated of America!!!!!!
