The 6’7,” 25-year-old, Swedish-born baller was reportedly involved in a heated altercation that went awry in the wee hours of the morning at a Marriott Hotel, but the details of the incident have not been officially released.

According to a statement that was released by the Hornets organization about the Taylor case, they have been informed about the turn of events that took place at the hotel with regards to their player and are in the throes of continuing an investigation.  “The organization is in the process of gathering more information and doing our due diligence,” the team said in a statement. “This is a matter that we take very seriously.”

The NBA’s commissioner, Adam Silver, just only recently stated this week that the league will “take a fresh look”at its domestic violence policies — a move that was prompted by all of the recent negative press surrounding the NFL and their stance regarding violence toward women. Silver went on to further comment about the disturbing topic, “We learn from other league’s experiences. We’re studying everything that’s been happening in the NFL,” Silver said. “We’re working with our players’ association [and new executive director Michele Roberts]. We’ve been talking for several weeks, and we’re going to take a fresh look at everything we do.”

Taylor was released on a $5,000 bond and the alleged victim in the incident has not been identified.
