An Indiana couple was arrested Saturday after police discovered disturbing cell phone video of a one-year-old child playing with a handgun, and at times putting the muzzle into her mouth (pictured), The New York Daily News reports.
The mother, Toni Wilson, 22, (pictured below) who was determined to be at the scene when the videos were made, and her partner Michael Barnes, (pictured below) were arrested and charged with child neglect, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, and allowing a child to possess a firearm, according to the news outlet.

The couple can be heard encouraging the child to say “pow” and “bang” as she waves around a .40 caliber gun and puts it in her mouth while sitting on a bed at the couple’s Evansville, Ind., home, the report says.
Evansville police found the shocking footage after arresting Barnes for allegedly trying to sell a handgun to an undercover officer, the Daily News writes.

Wilson argued that it was a pellet gun, the News notes, but officers said it was real. They said the magazine apparently had been removed, but a round could have been in the chamber.
The baby, whose name was not released because she is a minor, is currently in emergency care. Barnes’ 1-month-old twins, who were also living at the home, were also removed and placed in emergency care, the report says.
