Entertainment journalist and pop culture expert Jawn Murray joined Roland Martin Monday on “NewsOne Now” to recap the 2015 Golden Globe Awards.

Murray tackled everything award related from Prince’s appearance, Bill Cosby jokes, the air conditioning not working during the awards broadcast and suggesting Kevin Hart should be next year’s Golden Globe Awards host.

One of the star studded night’s highlights was Common and John Legend winning a Golden Globe award for best original song for “Glory,” from the critically acclaimed movie, “Selma.”

Unfortunately Common and Legend’s win was only award that “Selma” took home, causing many to believe the film was snubbed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Murray told Martin, the Globes are “not a necessarily a precursor to the Oscars.”

Murray said, “The Golden Globes is what Kim Kardashian is to Kerry Washington. One, you take seriously; the other is just a good time.”
