When the former L.A. Lakers player and now head coach Byron Scott (pictured) filed for divorce from his college sweetheart, Anita Scott (pictured) last March, he might not have heard the old adage, “it’s cheaper to keep her.”

Scott, who cited irreconcilable differences, was married to his wife for 29 years, and the couple reportedly had no prenup agreements.  Now according to TMZ, Anita, who has lived lavishly as a well-to-do Missus, reportedly wants that lifestyle to continue.

Court documents that were reportedly obtained by TMZ paint the picture of a wife who is reportedly demanding that her soon-to-be ex and father of her three children open his checkbook to make sure she continues to live large.

According to TMZ, Anita says she and her family lived in several manses in numerous locations such as in New Jersey, New Orleans and in Cleveland, where they have a penthouse with four bedrooms.  Now, Anita is reportedly living in a small three-bedroom condo in Culver City, California and cites in the court papers that her current dwelling is “not comparable to the lavish and spacious homes we purchased during the marriage.”

Anita, who is unemployed and is used to going on limitless shopping sprees, wants to reportedly continue frequenting such exclusive design houses as Chanel, Gucci, Prada and Louis Vuitton.

Anita claimed in the court papers  that her beauty upkeep is a vital necessity.  She drops $600 every six weeks on hair, $500 a month on mani/pedis and $400 a month on facials and “other personal maintenance.”

Vacations are seemingly just as important as living and breathing according to Anita, and she also wants to continue her routine of traveling first-class, staying at five-star properties and bringing along additional family members for company.

Byron, who is said to have signed a $17 million dollar contract with the Lakers organization right before he filed for divorce, could very well wind up  parting with a few of his coints!
