An anti-violence group took to the streets of Baltimore this weekend to march against crime. The demonstration, called the 300 Men March, began in Baltimore and ended in the District of Columbia. According to Brandon Scott, a Baltimore City Council member and one of the people who organized the march, a group of 40 people united in Baltimore on Sunday evening around 6:30 p.m. They reportedly took breaks along the way and had a police escort. Although there were some traffic delays, Scott said the march was coming from a peaceful place and that demonstrators simply wanted to bring awareness to violence and crime. “We do everything in decency and in order but we also do everything with the caveat that we as a community must do more … we all must do more,” he said in an interview. Nick Gordon Tweets For the First Time Since Bobbi Kristina’s Funeral

Nick Gordon, boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, took to Twitter to speak out for the first time since her funeral. “I look at our pics sometimes it makes me smile sometime I cry @REALbkBrown #happymemories,” he tweeted. “I’m so happy/blessed that I had @REALbkBrown in my life. I will always & forever love you.” Gordon was banned from coming to Brown’s funeral after several attempts to persuade her family to let him attend. The Browns/Houstons are suing Gordon because they believe a fight between the two led to her death. Read more.


Muslim-free Group Raffles Confederate Flag Painting by George Zimmerman

The owner of a gun store in Florida is raffling off a Confederate flag painting by George Zimmerman; the man responsible for taking Trayvon Martin’s life. According to the store’s website, half of the sale money will go to Zimmerman, and the other half will go to owner Andy Hallinan. Hallinan is currently facing a lawsuit after he said that his store was a “Muslim-free zone.” “The caption, ‘the 2nd protects the first’ [sic] is a double entendre,” Zimmerman said about the painting. “The first flag I painted on this canvas was an American Flag, but decided to repaint over it with the Confederate Flag when I heard Andy was getting sued by CAIR. The 2nd flag I painted was the Battle Flag – which we need in America in order to protect the first.” Read more.
