Andre Montgomery, who rose to fame as the star of reality show Welcome To Sweetie Pie’s, was fatally shot in North St. Louis Monday night, The St. Louis American reports.

Montgomery, whose 2013 graduation from McCluer North High School was featured on the OWN show about the famous restaurant, was the grandson of Sweetie Pie’s owner, Robbie Montgomery.

According to police reports, the 21-year-old was found unconscious from gunshot wounds inside a home near Natural Bridge Avenue. He died at the scene.

Two other victims were injured during the attack. No suspects have been identified as of yet.

From the St. Louis Dispatch:

A second man was shot and injured Monday night in the confusion after the shooting of Andre Montgomery.

Another man, 22, ran upstairs to help Montgomery after the shooting, police said. That man was armed with a firearm.

A third man who was in the home didn’t know the second man was there until he appeared with the gun. The third man opened fire with his own gun because he feared for his safety, police said.

Montgomery moved to St. Louis from Texas as documented on the show. His death marks the city’s 25th homicide of the year.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his relatives and the entire OWN family.
